Petsense Mission Statement
Our mission is to operate stores that are exciting and fun, staffed with friendly, knowledgeable associates passionate about making the pet lover’s shopping, a world class experience. Petsense offers quality pet products at competitive prices, made possible by purchasing direct from our vendor partners. In addition, Petsense offers a variety of professional pet services to improve the pet’s well-being. We operate our business at a level of integrity beyond reproach and promote responsible pet ownership through pet adoptions, community involvement and education.
Petsense Company Officers
- Bob Angstead, Director, President, & CEO - Bob has over 30 years of retail management experience that includes overseeing PetSmart's growth from seven to over 500 stores as Vice President of Store Operations. Bob's 9 year career included PetSmart's initial public offering and store concept additions including grooming, livestock sales, veterinarian clinic development, and pet training.
- Greg Forquer, Senior VP Merchandising - Greg has over 35 years of store level and management level operations and merchandising. His previous experience includes Lucky Foods and executive level positions with PetSmart and PETCO.
- Patricia Anderson , CFO - Patricia brings over 20 years of accounting experience to the Petsense team including positions with two public accounting firms as well as experience as CFO/VP at Mac Source, LLC.
- Tod Hatfield, VP Store Operations - Tod Hatfield brings over 20 years of multi-unit retail operations management to Petsense from lengthy careers with Winn DIxie Stores, PetSmart, and Tractor Supply Company.
- Tom Piposar, VP Construction and Store Development - Tom has over 30 years experience in industrial, commercial, and retail construction, design, and engineering. His previous experience includes implementation and coordination of a comprehensive store remodel program throughout the United States and Canada for PetSmart. Additionally, Tom has previously served as Vice President of Construction for Parkhouse Companies.
- Scott Rabun, VP Store Logistics - Scott has over 30 years of retail and logistics experience with Kmart and PetSmart.
- Bill Lebers, VP Business Development - Bill has over 30 years of retail pet products and grocery experience, serving in a variety of positions from District Manager to President. Bill was previously Vice President of northeastern US based Pet Food Giant, which was later acquired by a chain looking to expand into the territory.

- Jim Dougherty, Founder, Director, and Chairman - Jim founded PetSmart in 1987 and shared leadership responsibilities for nearly a decade of exponential growth.

- Dennis Curley, Co-Founder, Director - Dennis founded Southern California Foam, the parent company of Lazy Pet Products. After Lazy Pet was acquired, Dennis served as the Vice President of the PetSmart/PETCO sales team at United Pet Group. Additionally, Dennis has served on the Board of Directors of the American Pet Products Manufacturer's Association.
- Terry Smith, Co-Founder, Director, Logistics Expert - Terry previously served as Vice President of Imports and Logistics at Home Depot, President and CEO of California Hardware, and Vice Chairman of Distribution America.
- Ian Hunter, Director, Vice President, and CFO - Ian most recently served as CFO for several companies in transition stages. Ian previously served as President and CEO of California Hardware Company and CFO of Marlex Petroleum Company.
- Alan Rosskamm, Director - Alan serves as CEO of Breakthrough Charter Schools, which operates four public charter schools in Cleveland. Alan continues to serve on the board of directors of Charming Shoppes (2100+ stores) and Jo-Ann Stores (800+ stores) where he also served as CEO and President from 1985 until 2006.
- Laird Koldyke, Director - M.
Laird Koldyke is a founding partner of Winona Capital Management, a Chicago
based private investment firm focused on making growth investments in consumer
companies. Mr.
Koldyke has served on the boards of numerous consumer companies including
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Einstein’s Bagels, Wild Oats Markets, Home Fashions
Inc. Whitehall Jewelers, and Leewards Crafts. Mr. Koldyke is currently a
director and chairman of Top Driver Incorporated, Boloco Restaurant and The Laird Norton Company, a family business where he also serves as
chairman.
